Last Weekend of Summer

We had our last weekend of summer & it was crazy! Sadie kicked it off with a pool party with one of her closest friends:

It was supposed to be just the girls but a group of boys found out & crashed the party! I think it ended up being a fun back to school party for all of them:

I am so glad she got to go because after that, she had another soccer tournament with 5 games & 1 ODP soccer try out in Fort Worth on Sunday morning. It was hot & exhausting! I have so many pictures I can't wait to share but for now here is her team picture:

Just like the weekend before, they made it all the way to the championship game & lost. Ugh, so frustrating to see them get that far & not secure the win! But they played up in a older bracket & we actually beat the same team on Saturday & you could tell the other team came back with a vengeance & we look tired. At least they are playing great & should be ready for league play!

Sophie had a busy weekend as well & thankfully got to miss most of the soccer games. She had a pool party Friday night & then she had Cowboy cheer camp on Sunday with her friends:

Thank goodness camp was inside so they learned their half time routine for the upcoming season. Should be fun with these Cowboy Cuties!

And to kick off school, we planned donuts at the park for all incoming 5th graders so that might have been her favorite:

We had a good turnout & it was so fun getting to see all of them & their parents after taking the summer off. Most of these kids have been here since kinder so they have grown up together:

One last surprise - snow cones at The Snow Cone Lady! It was hot & Sadie asked to go but we had no idea it was her last open day of the season. Until next summer.......
