Life lately has slowed down this winter & I for one am loving it! Sadie is still playing soccer and besides the one ridiculously cold weekend tournament in January, she hasn't had too much. They had another tournament scheduled & it got cancelled due to the rain, but they did make a last-minute road trip to Austin to play in a few showcase games and what's a road trip without a stop to see Bucee?!
I had to stay home with Sophie for her games but most of the dads made a weekend out of it & you know the girls love hanging out at the hotel together when they aren't playing:
Off the soccer field, most of her soccer friends decided to play volleyball together this winter & they did amazing! We didn't pay for court time to practice, we just showed up for the games & they ended up getting 2nd place! Honestly, I think they could have gotten first but they had to forfeit a game due to a soccer conflict. They actually played up in the 7th & 8th grade competitive division when half of the team is in 6th grade. These girls just have amazing chemistry together!
I haven't really talked about this, but Sadie has a boy friend, (however you want to read that statement!) and they have been talking basically since school started. So far, he seems really nice & honestly, they only see each other at school, however at their last volleyball game, he was playing in a basketball game at the same time, so they talked afterwards & I got a picture of them together:
I won't say too much about that because I am not sure how more she would want me to say!
She is also wrapping up cotillion. They met in January & of course she missed her normal session due to soccer, so she had to go to the Plano session by herself:
Thankfully in February she got to go to the Frisco session with all of her friends & they all looked extra pretty for Valentine's:
Sophie has kept busy with winter basketball & volleyball, but I haven't done a good job of documenting it. Basketball just wrapped up, but they have an end of the season volleyball tournament so hopefully they will do well & I will get a picture of them with medals!
She has a tight knit group of close friends & they have fun celebrating birthdays with each other:

Although I'm not sure how much of the football game they actually watched - ha!
We have a few exciting things coming up to wrap up February, starting with Valentine's tomorrow! Happy heart day!
