Last week was so nice, we walked home from school almost every afternoon & most days we walked with Kenzie. Friday afternoon the kids were even more excited since it was their first spring break:
That night, both of the girls had soccer practice. Not sure what's going on here but someone sent me this picture of some of the girls tackling & holding on to Bryan:
After practice, we went to dinner with Abby & her family:
Abby is Sophie's best friend from Sonshine. They have been friends for 3 years & Abby joined our soccer team this season so Sophie has been thrilled.
On Saturday, spring soccer officially began & I got a little excited & took a lot of pictures so I will do a separate post about that. But we also had the Conference USA basketball tournament in town. Bryan's company sponsored it so he was up there most of the week. We went with him Saturday afternoon to watch the girls championship game. I kept telling the girls we probably wouldn't see anyone we know because all of the teams & their fans are from out of town but low & behold, as soon as we walk in we see Preston, a friend of Sophie's from school:
They were having so much fun playing together in the stands & then out of no where, this woman walks up & asks if Sophie wants to participate in the half time show. They picked her & a little boy to have a race around the court on these little bikes:
I thought she might be shy but she wasn't at all! She spoke right into that microphone when they asked her what her name was. And then they took off:
Poor Sophie rode it so slowly & the little boy smoked her but she had so much fun & everyone cheered for her. Afterwards they surprised the kids & let both of them keep the bikes:
She absolutely loves her new Shopkins bike! We already have 2 bikes at home so now we have a 3rd when friends come to play. Who knew our family would be so lucky!
