Life Lately

I'll start this week by stating that I cannot believe it almost mid-March. Is it really spring break already? And day light savings time? Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love spring, I just can't believe 2018 is already going by so fast. We finally had a week with no rain & the temperatures are slightly warming up so we are finally spending more time outside. And guess what else I found outside?

Spring flowers. But not just any spring flowers, tulips - my favorite! 3 days this week I went to the gym early (like 5:30 am early) & on my way home I pass this neighborhood & their entrance is beautiful. Even prettier early in the morning when the sun is first starting to come out & it's not busy outside yet. I finally stopped & took a picture because literally, this has been the highlight of my week!

Speaking of spring, Sophie got invited to a Saint Patrick's play date on Monday. Look at this adorable snack they made:

They had fun playing, making crafts & seeing her friends:

The weather was so nice, we walked home from school on Monday & Tuesday. It is always more fun to walk when you get to walk with friends:

Sadie invited her friend Julia over after school one afternoon:

We even got to play outside almost every day. The girls are loving getting to play on the swing set again, playing basketball & riding bikes:

Sadie got invited to go home with a friend one afternoon & Sophie did not like it. She had a long, hard & boring afternoon because she is used to Sadie coming home. She was so fussy that we loaded up to run an errand just to get out of the house & guess what happened:

This hardly happens in my car!

This morning Sophie & I went to the gym. I can't remember if I ever mentioned this on here, but Sadie never really liked going to the gym but Sophie loves it! It's like social hour:

I still mostly go early before they wake, but occasionally when we don't have plans, I'll take her during the day & she has a blast. Today they played with the parachute. Afterwards, we went to Sonic & picked up lunch for Sadie. Bryan & I have lunch with Sadie often, but I usually go when Sophie is at school & Sadie has specifically asked to have lunch with her sister so we surprised her today:

Then I got hit with Mommy guilt. They have Good Morning Pink twice a month & I have been every time until today. We went to the gym & skipped the pep rally so we could have lunch with her & apparently the one time I miss kindergarten won the spirit award. Sadie was so excited & told me all about it at lunch but then she kept asking why we weren't there :( At least Lena was & she sent me a couple of pictures of the girls:

This afternoon spring break officially starts & the girls are excited. We don't have much planned but soccer will finally begin this weekend after being cancelled the past 2 weekends. And thankfully the weather looks promising so hopefully we will spend a lot of time outside.
