Family & Friends

We are always asked how we can leave our kids when Bryan & I take trips but then we are also asked who is taking care of them. The truth is, we are lucky. We have 4 grandparents who help out anytime we ask. Usually between the 4 of them, someone can step up. So honestly, it's a win win for all of us. We get some time away & the girls get to spend some quality time with their grandparents. But we also have friends who help out & we are thankful for them as well.

This past weekend, Bryan's mom stayed with the girls & his father was able to come over on Saturday. The girls are so busy now, the grandparents have to come here so they can stay on their schedule while we are gone. I got so many pictures from everyone, that I didn't even have time to miss them because I saw them so often!

On Wednesday, Jamie helped out with dance & she took this sweet picture of the girls walking in together:

Later that afternoon Lena took a picture of Sadie & Kenzie as they were walking home from school:

Still friends even though their parents cheer for rival schools :) Remember how I mentioned it was college & career week last week? Thursday was dress for success day & Sadie wanted to be a cheerleader. We have to thank Sadie's teacher for their class picture:

That night Grammy took them out to eat at Babe's:

You can't really tell, but I think they are sitting on a tractor. Then she surprised them with sno cones:

On Friday, Lena went to have lunch with Kenzie so she took a few pictures for me from the cafeteria:

And again on the walk home from school with one of her teachers:

That night they both had soccer practice followed by games on Saturday. Grandpa finally joined them & I think they were excited to spend some time with him also:

Good thing he got to come over because they had to multi task. Sadie had a game first:

Then she went to a birthday party for a friend from school:

While Sophie went to her game:

Robert had to go home Saturday evening since he preaches on Sunday mornings but they were able to meet him for lunch after church:

Later that afternoon Jamie picked Sadie up to take the girls to their first choir practice:

Don't they look so excited? This was the first practice to see if they want to sing in the choir & try out for the Kids Christmas musical. Apparently they didn't look this upbeat when they left because they told both of us that is was boring! Ha! I think Sadie may be a little more into sports than music & drama, but guess we will see!

Thank you to everyone who helped out this weekend & who has helped in the past. It honestly makes it so easy to travel knowing that our kids are still on their same schedule & happy being at home. And see what I mean, I get so many pictures & videos that I don't even feel like I am missing out on anything :)
