Weekend Wrap Up

It was the first official weekend of summer for most since FISD got out on Friday but unfortunately it rained most of the weekend. We had invited friends over to swim Friday morning & we did get in the pool, but it was cloudy & sprinkling most of the time. Didn't stop these girls from being outside any:

It was a little cooler out there but at least we never saw any lightening or heard thunder:

Bryan had to attend 2 graduations on Friday afternoon/evening but he had a break in between so we got to meet him for dinner:

Thankfully we played outside in the morning because after lunch the storms officially moved in so it was pouring when we met him. He had to leave so I promised the girls we would do something special while he was gone so we tried a new custard place in town. You are supposed to walk up, order & eat outside but since it was pouring, we had an ice cream party in the car:

Saturday morning our birthday party got cancelled because it was supposed to be outside at a park & splash pad but it was still raining outside. Bryan had 2 more graduations that day so we met him for lunch between them & then stayed for the last one since we knew several kids graduating. I will do a separate post about that.

That night my mom drove into town because my cousin had a baby shower the next day. We also picked up my niece Zoe, so we had a great time seeing everyone:

My cousin Jennifer has 2 boys, we were all excited she is having a girl this time. Our girls did ok at the shower. They had fun but we had to keep reminding them not to run or not to touch. My mom brought a game so they played cards:

They helped us play a few baby games:

They thought it was hilarious trying to figure out which candy bar made the dirty diaper!

And they loved watching Jennifer open presents:

My mom had to go home after the shower so it was a quick trip for her, but we enjoyed seeing her. Zoe on the other hand came home with us & is here for the week so I am sure I will have lots to talk about later in the week!
