Life Lately

We are officially in summer mode & loving every minute! Lots of lazy mornings & time spent outside by the pool. We have invited several families over already & have had several pool parties - that is our favorite play date of the summer:

Daisy joined Sadie's soccer team this spring & they quickly became friends. Her sister Dottie is Sophie's age & will be playing soccer with Sophie this fall! These girls play really well together:

Speaking of swimming, I was nervous to see how Sophie would do in the pool this summer because she did not like swimming lessons this winter. Apparently something finally clicked with her & our lessons paid off because she has become a little fish:

Granted, she prefers to swim with her noodle, but she is jumping in & swimming all over the pool by herself. Her confidence has sky-rocketed & it has made my mommy heart so happy to watch her :)

Since we are still on the subject of swimming, I had to show off one of our new additions to the backyard:

I bought several of these floats with my birthday money & didn't know where to put them so I found this cool rack online. The girls think they look neat hanging there & Sadie is a good helper when it's time to get out of the pool & tries to hang them back up.

Sophie was beyond excited to go back to camp this week:

She went to My Gym last summer & loved it so much she asked if she could go again. She goes once a week for half a day & thinks it is so special that she gets to do something by herself :)

Last but definitely not least, while Bryan was out of town last weekend, we spent the night with my mother-n-law & she bought the girls these exercise outfits:

They just had to have the matching headbands & they crack me up the way they wear them. I mean all they need is leg warmers & think they would fit right in with the 80's crowd!
