For the past couple of summers we have had cousin camp with my sister's kids & this year we did it again but it was a little different. My nephew Kason went to his first overnight camp and Natalie & Daniel went to camp with him so they needed a place for Zoe to stay. Bryan had to go out of town for work this week so we literally had a girl's week - just me, Sadie, Sophie & Zoe! We had a fantastic week & the girls were so disappointed when Zoe went home today. On Tuesday, Sophie had camp & she went with Crosby:
While she was there, I took the big girls to the $1 movie at Cinemark to see The Secret Life of Pets:
We were so excited the summer movie clubhouse finally started this week! Besides the movie, we spent most of our time at home. The girls slept in every day:
swam in the pool:
played in the backyard:
Technically we played in the front yard too riding bikes & scooters, but we spent the majority of our time out back. We even had lunch outside most days:
It is definitely a different dynamic having 3 around the house instead of 2. Poor Sophie tried so hard to keep up with the big girls but when you have an odd number it's inevitable that someone will get left out. One of the best parts about our camp this summer is having the girls a year older. For the most part, they were all able to go without naps every day. Instead of making them lay down, I would turn on a movie in the media room for quiet time every afternoon:
I am so glad the girls have a cousin close to their age because I absolutely love watching them grow up together! Their friendship & love for each other is just precious & I am grateful for their time together. Thanks for letting her spend the week with us Nat!
