We had beautiful weather yesterday & it was perfect timing because we officially opened our pool for the summer! We invited a few friends over for a pool party & cookout & we had a great time. It is always a little chaotic with this many kids, but everyone did a good job of watching out for each other:
We stuck with the traditional American meal of hot dogs & hamburgers because we figured that's what the kids would eat the best:
The kids went back & forth from the pool to the hot tub & the parents all swam as well - mostly because we had to follow the kids around & keep our eyes on them at all times! Eventually, they made their way to the swingset:
But our favorite part of the day might have been dessert. Since it wasn't too hot yet, I set up a s'mores bar & they all had fun roasting their marshmallows:
It might have been messy, but it was delicious! And a great way to kick off summer :)
