Life Lately

This week has been nice. The past couple of weeks have been crazy & Bryan hasn't been home a lot so the girls & I haven't cooked much, but this week I feel like we have cooked & had family dinner every night. Thank goodness we have a slow weekend because I feel like we are still catching up from last weekend!

Besides our normal activities, we didn't do much this week. The girls invited Daisy over for a play date after school on Tuesday. They wanted an afternoon snack & since it is getting warmer outside, they are starting to ask for popsicles every single day. Here they are before:

and after:

Silly girls! The 3 of them played really good together & spent most of their time outside:

On Wednesday we met our friends at the Arboretum:

Don't know how we lucked out! We hoped by going mid-week, we would be missing most of the field trips. I was nervous when we parked because it looked crowded, but apparently it was STARR testing so there were not any big kids there. And the weather was perfect! Cloudy & a bit overcast but it kept the temperature down so it was really enjoyable outside:

Still hot enough for the kids to wear their bathing suits & play in the children's splash pads:

As soon as they got dressed, it started pouring. We ran to the café & sat outside on the covered patio. The kids still wanted to have a picnic so they sat on the ground but at least we were able to stay dry:

We have been going to the arboretum with them for years so it was kind bitter sweet knowing it will probably be our last time to go together with all 4 of our children :(

Yesterday was Sadie's final chapel of the year & parents were invited. I got there early & as I was walking in, I saw these cuties playing on the play ground at recess:

She was so excited about chapel, she never turned around so all I saw was the back of her jumping up & down, singing & dancing:

On Thursdays Sophie has soccer shots after school & it has kind of become a tradition to stay around & play afterwards:

It's hard to imagine they only have 3 more days of school left until summer!
