The biggest news in our life lately is that Sadie is officially riding her bike by herself!!!
We started to teach her over the holidays & she really surprised us because she was so timid. She is usually a go-getter & not afraid of anything but you could tell this was scary for her. So we tried a few times but never really pushed it. And then it was winter & we don't spend as much time outside so we didn't practice much. A few weeks ago we started bringing it up again & wanting to practice but she didn't really want to. We would try here & there but she still wasn't brave enough. Until this weekend. I'm still not sure what happened but something clicked with her on Saturday & she just took off:
It was obviously a mental road block & she finally conquered it. She is pretty strong on her bike already & can start, stop & turn all on her own. And thankfully she hasn't really had any accidents!
While Sadie & I went to our tea party last Sunday, Sophie was jealous & cried because she wanted to go to, so after her nap, Bryan took her out for tea & they had their own date:
Speaking of Sophie, I found this cute pic on Bryan's phone:
Think she's been brainwashed yet?!
We had our monthly bunco this week with the girls:
And we had our final MOPS meeting of the year. It was a summer send off party & we had fun playing dress up in the photo booth:
These wonderful ladies have been a blessing to be with this year & they surprised me with words of encouragement & flowers this morning:
I am excited about summer but sad that everything is quickly coming to an end now that we are in May. I am especially sad to be ending MOPS because this was my final year. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time with this group over the past 5 years but it is time to move on. Next year my oldest will be in school full time & my youngest isn't far behind her. I am looking forward to the next phase.
