Easter at Sonshine Academy 2017

Since there are so many ages & classes at Sonshine School & Sonshine Academy, they have to split up the days for Easter activities, so Sadie's age group went yesterday. We got invited early to watch their age participate in an Easter Egg hunt:

I don't know who thought of it, but they asked each student to bring 1 dozen eggs numbered 1 -12 & then they had egg cartons numbered 1 - 12 also. Each kid was asked to only get 12 eggs & they could only get 1 egg of each number. Such a brilliant idea! Not only does it help them with their numbers, but it also made the hunt last much longer:

I was not surprised at all that Sadie was the first one finished:

She's not competitive at all! Once everyone was done, they got to open their eggs, visit with friends & take class pictures:

We followed the kids back to their class while they had their party. First they got to paint an Easter canvas:

Next they got to build using toothpicks, marshmallows & jelly beans:

They ended the party with ice cream sundaes:

Finally, we headed to the auditorium where they had an Easter performance:

I got there early & reserved seats on the front row & luckily Sadie was on the front row also:

That is Mrs. Chase's class on the end & they all did great! Sadie has been practicing her songs for the past few weeks so I was excited to finally see her perform:

It was kind of sad to look at all of her friends & class mates that she has grown up with. This was their last performance & most of them will be spread out across different kindergarten classes across Frisco:

Grammy & Grandpa got to sneak away from work to come watch her:

As well as Bryan:

It was a fun afternoon & I am thankful that I got enjoy it with her. Sonshine Academy has been a blessing for our family & I even though Sadie will be leaving, I am excited Sophie will be starting there next year!
