Homework

Sadie came home from the first day of school with homework - can you believe it?! Not real homework, but it was a project we were supposed to work on at home & then send back up there. It was actually a big poster that says "All About Me" & then asks several questions. And it had several frames where you could post a picture or draw a picture.

 

I have to admit, this was the first time I helped her with homework & I felt like I did all the work! It had a lot of small blanks to fill out & Sadie is still learning how to write. I let her write in a few spots but the rest of it I asked her & then wrote down her responses:

 

 

We did get on my computer though & I let her pick the pictures, then she helped me print them, cut them & tape them. And it's kind of hard to tell, but she did draw several pictures on there, but she did it with colored pencils so they aren't really showing up in the picture good:

 

 

And she decorated with stickers. So she really did most of the work except for the part I wrote. I would love to see the other kids' posters because I wonder if I am the only one who wrote for their children or did their parents also? In case you are curious what the questions were, here they are:

 

How old are you? 4 1/2

What is your favorite color? purple

What is your favorite animal? fish

What is your favorite food? ice cream

What do you look like? blonde, curly hair with blue eyes. And she is left handed :)

What is your favorite place? the beach - & then she made me write all of the beaches that she has been to (the ones she could remember!)

What do  you want to be when you grow up? a mommy with 3 kids!

What is your favorite thing to do? play games with my family

If you had one wish, what would you wish for? a genie in a bottle (don't ask me where that came from - Aladdin, maybe?!)

 

 

By the way, did you notice all of her expressions above? I love the serious-goofy-sweet looks she is giving :)
