Weekend Wrap Up

I had gotten in a good routine of just doing a single blog on Mondays about our weekend, but the past 2 weeks I have been blogging a lot about the Star since that was a focal point of our weekend. But we really did do a few other things!

Last week Bryan traveled all week & got home really late Thursday night/Friday morning. Like middle of the night & even I was already asleep so he surprised the girls & took off on Friday so he could spend some extra time with us. I thought it would be fun to go bowling since he had never been before & I thought the summer program with free bowling for kids was still going on. Apparently it was not. It ended up costing us $35 to bowl for 1 hour. That's crazy, right?! But we had been talking about it & were already there so we couldn't tell them no, so we bowled any way & it was fun:

We're not exactly a family of bowlers if you look at those scores!

And our weekends have already been planned for the next 10 weeks because soccer has officially started! The Sweet Cleats are back in action & they practiced Friday night & Sunday night:

7 of the girls are back & they ended up giving us 1 extra girl at the last minute. Sadie absolutely loves playing soccer with all of her friends! Sophie & I don't mind either because it's like social hour with all of our friends too :)

After practice Friday night, we invited the Dziedzic family over to swim:

The kids had a blast swimming & eating while the parents got to visit. I love that our children are actually old enough to swim by themselves without us having to get in the water. Granted, the moms are sitting right there on the side of the pool in case something happens, but for the most part, the kids can do their own thing.

Soccer games won't officially start until after Labor Day but I think our weekends will pretty much go like this: Friday night - soccer practice, Saturday - soccer game & college football, Sunday - church. Sounds like a fun fall schedule to me!
