The Star Kickoff

I realize I have already posted about The STAR several times but it's kind of a big deal in Frisco:

This weekend they had their official grand opening to the public which was quadruple football games for all 8 of our high schools. Literally, there were 4 football games back to back all day long Saturday! Bryan & Sadie went early that morning while I stayed home with Sophie. Apparently Sophie missed out because Sadie got to meet Mr. Jerry Jones:

As you can see, I don't think she was as excited as her dad! She just wanted to run around & eat popcorn :) Sophie & I went for the 2nd game which started later that morning:

How could we not take pictures again on the Tostito's Plaza?! I think everyone who stepped foot on the property did!

The girls love football because they have been going since they were born. They love the atmosphere, the bands, the cheerleaders, drill team, etc. Bryan & I do stuff with other school board members often but we rarely get to bring our kids, so the girls loved playing with all of the other school board member's children. Especially Kayla - Sadie spent the entire morning with her & by lunchtime, I realized I had a new babysitter:

We left at half time of the second game to go home for nap time. We wanted to bring the girls back up for the late games & knew they would be in a better mood if they rested. The third game started at 5:30 & it was the Wakeland Wolverines, which is where our girls will go & where most of our friends/neighbors/babysitters already go. It was probably the most fun because we knew so many people there. Bryan invited his parents & they brought along Nanny:

They may not live in Frisco, but they live in the DFW area so they have heard all about the STAR for the past 2 years as it was being built.

And the Hill family came:

They live in the neighborhood next to us so all of our children will go to Wakeland. Just look at these future Wolverines:

The final game didn't start until 8:30, so we took the girls home & then Bryan went back up there. While we were leaving, they had a dj on the plaza & the girls had so much fun running around & playing. They actually kicked off their shoes & started doing gymnastics:

I have a feeling we will be spending a lot of nights here in the years to come. I mean the girls won't even be in high school for another 10 years but when you play high school football at a facility like that, who doesn't want to go?!
