Here we go with this week's photo dump. Most of the pictures are of the girls being creative inside the house because honestly, who can play outside when it is 100 + outside?!
I will start with the Olympics:
I am usually pretty strict on tv time (mostly because I have 1 daughter who is addicted!) but we have all been glued to the tv this week because we are loving the Olympics! Sadie plays soccer, swims & goes to gymnastics so the summer Olympics are right up her alley!
As you can tell in the picture above & the ones below, they have been playing dress up a lot:
Sadie had stopped for a while but now that Sophie is starting to do it, Sadie wants to join in again! They were having a dance party in the picture above.
We have also spent a lot of time playing beauty shop:
We take turns fixing each other's hair, mine included :) We have also done manicures, pedicures & make up. The girls are loving it!
And we have played every game & put together every puzzle in this house:
We did venture out a few times for gymnastics & camp. We mostly leave in the morning & then play around the house in the afternoon after quiet time. One morning we met friends at a new kids place in Plano called Safari Run:
The kids were playing so good independently & I was enjoying visiting, so I didn't take many pictures. In fact, this is the only one I got because Sadie was saying "Look Mom, I'm in the sky!". She thought it was cool that it was an indoor playground with sky lights so she could see the clouds.
Jamie dropped off the twins at the movies & I watched all 3 of them while Sophie was at camp:
The girls went grocery shopping with me this week & we picked up a few extra items for the Frisco Food Pantry:
Sadie actually came home from VBS with a brown paper sack decorated with a note for the food pantry. She had a list of items that they needed, so I let her pick what she wanted to get from the list & then we went & donated everything:
I was very proud of the girls because they had a great attitude & were really excited to visit Frisco Family Services. We clean out & donate items often, but this was the first time I have taken them to the food pantry so I am glad she learned about it at VBS!
The girls had a tea party one afternoon:
And yes, Sadie is talking on her phone at the tea party. She has been talking on the phone all week to her brother?! Sorry Sadie, not gonna happen!
Sadie doesn't normally nap anymore during quiet time, but I found her one afternoon snoozing away:
I guess she was playing so hard she passed out!
And Sophie has been doing awesome with her new toddler bed. She has been sleeping in it for 1 1/2 weeks now & only once did she act a little mischievous:
Apparently she found all of the blankets in her bottom drawer. I am still shocked this is the worst damage I have seen so far!
Life has been pretty fun this week with these two & maybe next week we will be outside again since we are getting a "cool" front this weekend. I cannot imagine going from a high of 106 today to 88 tomorrow!
