Since it is the end of August, our swimming days are slowly coming to an end. Usually it stays pretty hot until September but this year a surprise cool front blew in & last week it was unseasonably cooler & rainy, which really cooled the pool off more than I would have liked. We went swimming over the weekend & the water was only 81. But we are determined to keep on swimming for another week or two until school starts.
Saturday night, we had a pool party & invited 2 of Bryan's friends from UT over - Erin & Jenny, along with their families. They both live in the Dallas area but we don't get to see them as often, especially Jenny since she has older girls. We just love visiting with them & I'm glad our kids have fun together, even with the age gap:
Sadie just adores Haley & Riley! She wants to do everything that they do:
The water was too chilly for the adults to get in, but the kids thought it was fine. We eventually heated up the hot tub for them. Bryan cooked fajitas so we had an awesome Mexican dinner & Erin surprised the kids with ice cream sundaes:
Sophie never swims as much as everyone else so she is always doing her own thing. But I can't believe what I caught her doing later that night:
She kept trying to cozy up to Sean & was wanting to sit in his lap - now I know why! Apparently, she kept trying to drink his Dr. Pepper!
It was a fun night & I think it's awesome that Bryan has maintained such great friendships with some of his college buddies from back in the day :)
