The Countdown Begins.....

It's official - we are hopefully less than 24 hours away from meeting our new little girl! I don't think I mentioned it earlier because I didn't want to jinx us, but last Monday at my prenatal appointment I had already dilated 3 cm's & was 80% effaced. The week before that I had done nothing so my doctor was surprised at how quickly I progressed. Needless to say I rushed around like a mad woman the next couple of days trying to tie up loose ends because my doctor didn't think I would make it to the weekend. But here I am, 1 week later, still waiting around :) The good news is that since I rushed to get everything done early, I've had the last couple of days to relax. In fact, Saturday night we even went out with a bunch of friends for an adult Christmas party while Sadie was at home with the babysitter:

 

And last night my parent's drove in. We celebrated Sadie's birthday since they weren't able to make it last weekend during the ice storm. She had a blast opening her presents & my only regret is that I didn't take any pictures :( They bought everything she needs to take care of her baby while I will be busy taking care of my baby :) She got a car seat, a pack-n-play, a swing, a new double stroller & a diaper bag full of diapers, baby bottles, etc. It is the cutest set & she has been hard at work playing mommy for the past 24 hours. Don't worry - I'm sure I will take pictures & document it soon. I am hoping she will be replicating what I will be doing with her little sister, as she will be born tomorrow if all things go smoothly! I will be admitted to the hospital tomorrow morning at 7:30 to be induced. I had to be induced with Sadie as well & I was in labor for about 11 hours, but since I have already progressed with early labor & it's my second child, I am hoping this one comes quicker. Please pray for a smooth delivery for both of us & stay tuned to meet the newest member of the Dodson Family!
