We took Sadie to the doctor yesterday for her 2 year old well baby check up. We hadn't been since she was 18 months, so I was very anxious to see how she measured up & where she is at developmentally. She has definitely grown, but she is still small for her age. I mostly knew that from the way her clothes fit & watching her with other kids her same age.

Weight: 27 lbs., 55%
Obviously she is about average in weight but she is still on the shorter side. Exactly what I thought! She is more stout than a lot of her friends because they are taller & thinner, where she is shorter & thicker. Since I buy most of her clothes out of season, I had bought 18-24 months clothes for this winter & they all too big for her. Especially in length. But they look good enough & I can usually roll up pants & sleeves when I need to :)
Other than that, she is developmentally right on track. The girl is still a good eater, drinker, sleeper, etc. Although, she definitely has her toddler moments. She has been a tough cookie lately but we can't tell if that's the terrible two's coming through or if she is getting a little jealous because she has realized a baby is coming home. Guess we'll see soon!
I don't have any pictures to post today, so I thought I would throw in a picture from the hospital. It seems only fitting since we are celebrating her 2nd birthday but also nostalgic since we will be doing this all over again in the next week or so!
