Hospital Visitors

Before Sophie & I were discharged, we spent 2 days at the hospital. This was a completely different experience than last time. Bryan packed a bag & stayed with me the entire time - I mean never left my side. He is such a sweet husband! My parents were busy taking care of Sadie. She still had to go to school while we were gone, but don't worry, she came to visit us when she could! And most of our family & friends were busy with school & work since we delivered in the middle of the week. Last week we delivered on a Thursday night, so a lot of people came to visit us on Friday & Saturday since it was a weekend. Also, it's our second child & I guess that's what happens - sorry Sophie!

I did make sure she had a cute wreath to announce her name while we were at the hospital. Last time my sister made Sadie a wreath & it was adorable! In fact, I have had a lot of compliments on it because it is still hanging on her bedroom door. Hers was made out of ribbon & I wanted Sophie's to be different, so I made hers out of tulle. I will be the first to admit that I am not the most crafty person, but at least I tried! It may not have been the fanciest wreath in the hospital, but I still think it looked cute & I had several compliments.

The good news is that since we didn't have a ton of company, Bryan & I took advantage of the down time. We kept Sophie with us most of the day, but we sent her to the nursery at night so we could rest. We even enjoyed our steak & lobster date night, courtesy of Baylor Hospital!

We did have a few people stop by to visit & of course, I didn't get pictures of everyone, but here are a few:

And this is our friend Amanda - she was our delivery nurse for Sadie. We really hoped to have her again this time, but she was working the night shift :( But she came by to visit while she was working. Who knew we would be having a visitor stop by at 5:00 in the morning!

Of course our favorite visitor was Miss Sadie! She brought her Minnie Mouse with her & already was practicing her mommy routine. She learned how to swaddle & hot to feed with her bottle.

But my favorite moments with Sadie were those tender moments with her new baby sister:

I cannot wait to watch the relationship between these two blossom as they grow up together!
