After our party on Saturday afternoon, we drove to Bryan's parents to spend the night. Our sister-n-law flew in from Colorado & brought Sadie's cousins.
They had a great time playing together. Grammy surprised them with their own Easter cakes:
And Granny surprised them with Easter balls:
Sunday morning, Sadie woke up & found that the Easter bunny had left her an Easter basket!
Then we all dressed up to go hear Grandad preach the Easter sermon.
Who knew Jessica & I coordinated the kids outfits so good? We had no idea until Sunday morning that they matched.
After church we went to Nanny's house for Easter brunch. She outdid herself by baking an Easter bunny cake:
After we ate, the kids finally got to participate in the obligatory Easter egg hunt. Sadie didn't do as good this time. It was kind of muddy outside & she kept tripping on her dress. It was a little big on her, but she still looked adorable!
Afterwards, the kids had fun going through their eggs & finding all of their goodies.
I had made special eggs just for Sadie. Since she had already been on 3 egg hunts, she had gotten her fill of snacks - goldfish, teddy grahams, etc. So I made her eggs specifically with her in mind. All of her eggs were stuffed with bracelets, necklaces & bows. Can you tell that she enjoyed them?
We had an amazing Easter weekend spent with family & Sadie had so much fun playing with her cousins. It was a nice surprise having them in town!
