Easter weekend started at our house on Saturday. It was just the three of us & I tried to surprise Bryan & Sadie with an Easter Brunch. I made pancakes in the shapes of Easter eggs, bunnies & flowers. Honestly, some of them were hard to tell what they were, but hey, I tried, right?!
That afternoon we went to our neighborhood Easter party. The great thing about community events it that you can walk there or in Sadie's case, ride there!
It was a mad house with kids running around everywhere but Sadie loved it! As soon as we got there, she got to participate in the Easter egg hunt because the little kids went first. Third time is obviously a charm because she was too cute! I guess she's had some practice because Bryan & I were surprised how good she did this time!
Afterwards, she watched a balloon get transformed into a poodle!
And she spent some time playing at the playground.
The whole time she was playing, she had her eye on the Easter bunny. When it got even remotely close to her, she would start crying & grab our legs like she was trying to hide or she wanted us to pick her up. Luckily I outsmarted her. Our neighbor Heidi was the one dressed as the Easter Bunny & while her Mom, Joy, was holding & playing with Sadie, I had Heidi sneak up behind her:
Sadie never knew & finally got a decent bunny picture!
