Early Signs of Spring

Earlier this week, we took advantage of the beautiful weather to spend some extra time with Jessica, Kaitlyn & Braxton. We went to the Dallas Arboretum for Mommy & Me Monday & the weather could not have been any better!

Luckily, I slathered Sadie in sunscreen, but the tops of my arms got sunburned. You can tell how I was walking around all day pushing the stroller from where the sun lines are! We enjoyed walking around & looking at all of the beautiful flowers. This time of the year is my favorite because it is "Dallas Blooms" & the tulips are everywhere in every color! We couldn't help but take pictures of the kids:

They call it Mommy & Me Mondays because they have activities set up throughout the gardens for the kids. First, we visited the petting zoo:

And poor Jessica waited in line for over an hour so the kids could get their face painted. I should clarify, Kaitlyn wanted to get her face painted. We thought it would be fun for the little ones, but they were both scared.

While she waited in line, Sadie participated in the Kindermusik class:

Sadie loves music! She ran right to the front row & was staring at the teacher & clapping her hands the whole time. And in the second picture, she is holding a shaker & she was dancing with it.

Kaitlyn also made some friends & they entertained the little ones with bubbles:

We also enjoyed a picnic lunch:

I have to give a quick shout out to my Mom for my "Thirty One" Christmas gifts. I hadn't really used them until today, but I have a feeling with the warmer weather I will be using them more often! She got me a matching outdoor blanket, ice chest & bag. Perfect for hauling around kids & all their stuff!

Probably the best part of the day was watching the kids run around. They love being outside, especially when there is a lot of room to roam. And I am so glad that Sadie got to spend time with her cousins since we don't see them as often.

Days like this make me so thankful I am a stay at home Mom. That was one of the best days we have had in a while & I am grateful I got to share it with her.

By the way, she did get a small painting on her face, but it was a struggle getting it on there!

It was a small red heart & we had matching ones on our cheeks. But as you can see on her thumb, she rubbed it off on the way home :)
