My parents went to Lubbock last weekend & since our house is on the way, they stopped by to pick Sadie & I up. My nephew Kason turned 4 & we couldn't miss his big camp out birthday! My sister did an awesome job coming up with the decorations, food & entertainment. For those who keep up with her, check our her blog for all the pictures. And check out her home made cake she made - I was super impressed!
While we were at the party, Sadie had a fun time chasing all of the big kids around in the back yard. She also found a small slide that was just her size:
And Kason's old tricycle:
And she even got to enjoy the big kid food at the party, although her & Zoe had to sit in their high chairs while the big kids had a picnic on the floor.
She didn't care because she was too busy trying string cheese, beef jerky, trail mix & smores for the first time!
The party was on Friday night & we stayed at their house until Monday, but I have to admit that I really didn't take many pictures while I was there. I did snap a couple of shots that pretty much sum up our weekend. Sadie spent most of her time doing this:
While Kason did this:
I am sure Natalie will be doing a post about Kason & his love for baseball soon because it consumed his life, even while he was sleeping :)
We did go to church on Sunday morning & I tried to snap a picture of the kids while they were getting ready. Max was still in bed & somehow I missed Zoe, but I did catch a shot of Kason being sweet to Sadie on the couch:
Don't worry, the red batting helmet didn't make it inside the church building! At church I couldn't help but catch a snapshot of Aunt Natalie loving on Sadie girl:
We had a fun time eating, playing & shopping with the Clayton/Dodson/Maddux clan just like always. Thank you Mimi & Doc for picking us up & letting us tag along for the ride and thank you Natalie for letting us crash at your house & for inviting Sadie to Kason's birthday party. I am sure one of these days he will be too big for Sadie & his parties will be for boys only!
