Doctor Appointments

We have had a busy week of doctor appointments since we got home from Lubbock. I actually started feeling bad while we were out of town & it only got worse when we got home, so I took advantage of having my parents in town & made myself a doctor appointment. I was afraid I had the flu but luckily that test came back negative & I only had an upper respiratory infection. I feel much better after a few rounds of antibiotics!

The next day, we went with Bryan to his quarterly checkup at the Cancer Center. I hadn't been back there in a while so it was fun to take Sadie & let her walk around. All of the staff enjoyed seeing her & we even saw another cancer patient who we became friends with while we were there regularly. I am amazed how much has changed in the past 15 months since Sadie was born & Bryan is in remission! As sweet as every one is up there, I do not miss going up there on a regular basis!

Here are a few friends passing Sadie around:

After that appointment, we went straight to Sadie's 15 month check up. I will write another post later with pictures from that appointment along her with updates & stats, but I will confess that I felt like a bad Mom at this one. Her doctor told us she had a double ear infection & we had no idea! She had been a little fussier the past couple of days, but we had been out of town traveling & I figured it was from that or teething. For the most part, she was eating & sleeping like normal. And she would get fussy here & there, but overall she was playing by herself good. I guess the biggest clue I missed was that she had been tugging at her helmet lately trying to pull it off. I thought she was just tired of the helmet, but now I realize that maybe that was her way of telling us her ears hurt. Poor girl! I am proud to say that in her 15 months, this is her first official sickness. We have never taken her to the doctor besides a well baby visit & she has never been on medicine before besides Tylenol. But I am sure this is the first of many sick days ahead in our future :(
