5th Grade Happenings

It's been a busy month as we wrap up school & all the things that come with having a 5th grader! I have so many pictures that I'll try to dump several here so I can keep up with everything else that is coming up. First up, the girls finished GA's, which is their church group on Wednesday nights. Sadie has done this since kindergarten so she just finished her 6th year & technically graduated to middle school next year:

They had over 20 girls in their group but only 5 have been there since the beginning so they got special presents:

And she was fortunate to have the same 2 teachers through the entire process. Thank you Mrs. Karen & Mrs. Linda for all you have given to the girls:

The girls had national bike to school day for the last time:

They had an opening for Watch Dog Dad the last week of school so Bryan volunteered, even though he had already done it once this year. I don't think he will ever have that opportunity with Sadie again! 5th grade had an epic kickball game outside so Bryan played with them:

Sophie's teacher put him to work & asked him to caulk the windows because ants were getting in their classroom. Ha!

It's a long day but I think he enjoys being on campus with them:

At Sadie's last spring carnival, we bid in the silent auction for her to be Coach Mistr for the day. He is our PE teacher so that is right up her alley & she had a great time:

Apparently she loved coaching kindergarten!

Since the kids already took their STAAR testing, I feel like school has become a lot more fun these last 2 weeks of school. Besides field day, they have all sorts of fun dress up days & themed activities, especially in 5th grade! They had soda floats one afternoon:

They've also had device day, game day & neon day:

Friday night our PTA had an end of the year party so Bryan took the girls out to eat with some friends & clearly they had a fun night:

Only 3 more days of school & these girls are ready. Watch out middle school!
