It has been a busy month for Sophie with Girl Scouts! They started off the year like they always do with the polar plunge:
It doesn't sound as crazy as it is. They just meet to swim at the beginning of the new year at a local waterpark inside. Thank goodness! Who wants to really jump in cold water outside in January?! She had fun with several girls from her troop & saw friends from other troops there also:
Last weekend the girls had Monday off from school for Martin Luther King day so her troop had a special outing where they made pottery! She was so excited & told us all about it when she got home:
Look at their creations:
We haven't seen the final product yet - they were going to finish & then send them home so I can't wait to see it. I absolutely love all of the new experiences her troop has gotten to do together:
Finally, January means it is cookie season:
I am the troop cookie manager, for the 6th time, which means I am responsible for every single box this troop sales. I won't lie, I am ready to pass this job on! Ha! Sophie has done awesome this year. We never go crazy because the girls are busy with so many activities & we don't really do any booths, but she has sold about 200 individually which makes me so proud of her!
We have been selling cookies for 1 1/2 weeks already so we will probably wrap up soon & will be ready for new girl scout adventures in the next month.
