Life Lately - February

I don't know how it's possible, but somehow the last day of February is Monday & the girls get out of school for spring break in a week. Seriously?! Winter has flown by & we are ready for spring! The girls wrapped up another basketball season & are moving on to other sports. Sophie's team did really well & they won the majority of their games. They had their last game on a Saturday morning so we went to get donuts with the team afterwards to celebrate:

Sadie's team got to play an extra week because they got to play in the end of the season tournament & they did great! They won their first game but lost in the semi final. She still doesn't love the sport like I do, but it sure is fun watching her play:

Sadie's soccer team played in 2 tournaments in January & they played awesome! They won 7 out of 8 games in 2 weekends back to back which got them ready for their spring season. They are playing in 2 leagues this spring & their games started the first weekend in February, which doesn't make sense, right since it is still so cold outside?!

Sophie was busy selling girl scout cookies for the past month, but we finally wrapped up our sales last week. The girls had a booth after school & we wiped out our inventory, which I appreciated since they have been sitting in our house! I have been the troop cookie manager for the past 5 years so I am about ready to retire. Ha!

Sadie finally got to go on a field trip again, but she was a little disappointed on where they went. She has already been here 2 times before. This time they rode bikes through Safety Town, but she was even more upset because out of all of the kids there, they made 2, Sadie & another little boy ride small bikes with training wheels because they were not tall enough for the big bike. Seriously?! She is 10!

The girls had twin day at school so they picked friends to match with:

Speaking of school, Sophie loves stopping by the front office to visit Mrs. Tracey so I was not surprised at all when I saw this picture the other day:

We celebrated the Super Bowl at home just the 4 of us because it was a crazy, busy weekend. We barely made it home by 5:00 to watch the game. But we did have fun starting the party early at church that morning:

I went to a birthday lunch with girlfriends last week at a restaurant that had been on my list & it did not disappoint! We took several pictures inside, but the light just didn't do the place justice:

I'll end my post with our social butterfly, Sophie. This girl has had so many play dates & birthday parties, I cannot keep up! Whether it's at the soccer field with soccer siblings or friends from school, she always has something going on:

She actually got invited to 3 slumber parties, 3 weekends in a row. And one of them, I just have to talk about. Sophie is not the healthiest eater in our family. She doesn't exactly like many fruits or veggies and it's mostly us making her eat them, but she LOVES anything sweet, especially candy. So I was not surprised to hear that she may have gone a little overboard at one of them. I think she ate one too many pieces of candy to go along with her pizza & cupcakes and unfortunately, she woke up in the middle of the night & vomited. Ugh. Afterwards, she just went back to sleep & then woke up & ate 2 donuts in the morning. Oh girl. But this is the picture I got because since she threw up in her sleep, it was everywhere - the floor, her sleeping bag, on her pajamas & in her hair! So sweet Liz washed it out:

One of these days she will learn her lesson!
