After a fun summer, school has finally snuck up on us. Not fall, but school. It is still 100 degrees outside so being inside at school doesn't seem so bad right now! We still did all of the typical back to school activities - shopping, dentist appointments, hair appointments, etc. I scheduled the girls to get their hair cut on the day of Meet the Teacher so they would be fancy for that night. Taylorina always does a great job braiding their hair & dousing them in glitter:
She even gave them arm tattoos:
We got emails between 3:00 - 4:00 from their teachers so that was a frantic hour of excitement trying to see who all of their friends got & then it was finally time to head to the school:
Sophie got Mrs. Partington for 2nd grade & she just happened to get in class with her best friend, Kate:
Unfortunately, Sadie still had soccer practice & her coach wouldn't let her miss but thankfully Bryan rushed to get her there right before the school closed. She got Mrs. Dickinson for 4th grade:
She didn't get to stay long or see many friends because most had already left, but at least she got to see her room & meet her teacher. Before we left, I snuck a few pictures with the Pink sign:
A few things to note, it felt GREAT to be back on campus again! It was so exciting getting to see all of their kids & their families walking around like normal. I even have a busy schedule planned this fall between PTA events, room mom, library volunteer - can you tell I am excited to be back on campus?!
I had one last surprise for back to school - manicures! Sophie just got a regular manicure with painted nails to match her dress but Sadie saved her money & wanted to try dipped nails:
They turned out so cute & she was so proud! Looks like these 2 are officially ready for their first day!
