I still can't believe I am at home by myself writing this blog because the girls are officially back at school! Today was the big day & both of them woke up early & ready to go this morning:
It's always fun to shop for that first day of school outfit & new shoes for back to school because their taste change every year. Sadie knew right away she wanted to wear overalls:
And Sophie knew she wanted a dress, but man did it take forever to find! I took her to every store in town & she couldn't find anything until we looked online & she fell in love with this one:
Usually we walk to school & we always see Mrs. Nancy but this year we got invited to a donut party so we stopped by & said hi on our way to their house:
The party was at a house right by the school, mostly for the 2nd grade girls but several had 4th grade siblings:
I even think the parents enjoyed the coffee & seeing each other:
When we walked to the school, they had music playing, the Wakeland cheerleaders were there to greet us - it was a fun time!
We got both of the girls settled into their classrooms:
So now Bryan & I are enjoying our quiet time at home. Not really, I am getting caught up on the computer without distractions from children, but it is definitely not quiet. We have 7 guys downstairs right now painting & installing tile. It is anything but quiet! I am hoping it will be easier getting stuff done around the house now that the kids are gone during the day & I hope they are having the best time at school with their friends. Here's to a new school year!
