Girl Scout Bridging Ceremony - Daisy to Brownie

For the past 2 years, Sophie has been a Daisy with her Girl Scout troop that started in kindergarten. Somehow 2 years flew by & now it is already time for them to move on from a Daisy to a Brownie! In Girl Scouts, they host bridging ceremonies to formally transition from one stage to another, so their troop held theirs last weekend:

We met at our neighborhood park & luckily it was a beautiful evening! The girls ran around & played while the parents visited before having cupcakes. The color of daisies is blue but in brownies it is brown, so look at these adorable cupcakes:

They actually connected the blue cupcake with the brown cupcake via the rainbow. I thought it was creative - the girls were just excited they got 2 cupcakes:

We also surprised them with new troop shirts:

Can you tell we are rocking a theme with the rainbow?! Finally, we gathered the girls & had their official ceremony. They said the pledge of allegiance followed by the girl scout law & promise:

This was the before picture of the girls in their daisy tunics but I love this picture of their new brownie vests lined up with the girls huddled in the background:

Then the big moment came - each girl was called individually to walk over the bridge & earn their new vest:

Can you tell she was just a little bit excited?! These girls have became such good friends & even though they do quite a bit together from school to sports, girl scouts is one of the first things that brought them together:

And they couldn't have done it without their fearless leader, Kimberlee! We are so thankful she took the time to organize & set up their troop:

So thankful for these sweet girls & their sweet families:
