Branson, Part 1 - WaterMill Cove

Sorry it's been a few weeks, but we have been traveling & enjoying summer! We left a few weeks ago & met Bryan's family in Branson, Missouri. Besides driving to Austin, Houston or San Antonio, we have never really gone on a road trip with the girls before so this was our first one! Sadie thought it was so awesome that we drove through 4 different states to get there & had fun making a list of all of the different states she saw on license plates along the way. It took about 8 hours but we finally made it:

His parents rented an 8 bedroom house on the lake so there was plenty of room for all of us. Besides Robert & Sherry, both of his grandmothers were there as well as his brother Tim with his family in Colorado. The girls were so excited to see their cousins:

That night we unpacked & settled in, but I woke up early the next morning ready to go. I went for a run at sunrise & took pictures of our resort before it got busy: 

The cabins were located right on the lake, but also had a pool, an arcade, basketball court, sand volleyball, putt putt golf & a playground:

As you can imagine, we spent a lot of time doing all of these activities! Our cabin was 3 story with 2 awesome porches:

You walked in on the 2nd floor, which is the main floor where the kitchen & living room are with bedrooms upstairs. On the bottom floor, they had a pool table, a hot tub & the enclosed porch. We didn't spent as much time on the patios as I had hoped because it was hot out there, but we spent a lot of time hanging out together inside:

Eventually everyone woke up Sunday morning ready to go:

After breakfast, we spent the whole day at the pool:

Bryan & I took the golf cart for a break & went exploring:

That afternoon I snuck out to go buy groceries, but the rest of the gang went down to the lake to swim, paddle board & kayak:

We headed home for dinner, rested, played games but as soon as it cooled off, we headed back out to play:

It was the perfect day to start our trip!
