Branson, Part 2 - Top of the Rock

On Monday we escaped the lake for Top of the Rock at Big Cedar Lodge:

We went with Bryan's parents & both of his grandmothers. I am so glad everyone recommended this to us because it was a beautiful way to see the Ozarks! I had no idea it was so hilly, green & all surrounding the lake. We rented 2 golf carts & went on a nature hike where we saw beautiful waterfalls:

There were some beautiful bridges as well:

One of our favorite parts was when we got to the Bat Cave. It was a literal cave that we got to drive inside where they had an actual bar serving drinks! There were beautiful waterfalls in there also. And the girls got bat juice to drink, which was actually lemonade:

It took us about 2 hours to drive around & we enjoyed every minute of it:

After our golf cart excursion, we took a shuttle to the top where the golf course, driving range, chapel, museum & restaurant was. Our views were even prettier up there! They had a massive sink hole where the driving range was, so it's kind of funny to see this huge hole right next to a beautiful green:

While we were there, we visited the history museum & out of all of this, Sadie enjoyed it the most! She walked thru it very slowly, trying to read as much as she could. She just did a research project on Sacagawea so she found all of the Native American artifacts so interesting. We couldn't get pictures in there, but before we left, we walked out to get a better view of the chapel:

Unfortunately the chapel didn't open until later that evening, otherwise I would have loved to have gone in there!

When we got home that night, we met up with Tim's family & we celebrated Braxton's birthday. The girls even baked him a cake:

We kept the celebration going as we went outside to play putt putt:

We even got Nanny to come out there & play with us! While we were golfing, we saw a beautiful sunset:

Since it was getting dark outside, we headed to the arcade:

It was a fun way to end the day!
