Life Lately, In Quarantine

Technically someone in our family has been quarantined at 4 different times between Halloween & now, but the first 3 times it was either Bryan with Sadie or Sophie. This time, it was all 4 of us. Remember when I said I got sick on vacation in Breckenridge? Well, I tested positive for Covid & eventually everyone in my family did also, except for Bryan. Thankfully the girls were completely asymptomatic & I was shocked when they tested positive also. They literally never had a single symptom. Bryan on the other hand tested negative 3 times so he took the antibody test & he had them! So apparently he had Covid at some point but we don't know when.

It all started the day after we got home & we got our results. We immediately locked ourselves inside for 10 days. It was kind of good timing because after being gone for that long, we had a lot of laundry:

And that's only a fraction! It was also January, well into 2021 & we still had Christmas decorations up so that took a good 2 days to get the house back together:

I always joke that I have to make a mess to clean up the mess! Ha!

We spring cleaned the girls rooms better than we ever had before, especially Sadie. She decided she wanted to get rid of most of the toys in her room & it's amazing how clean it looked when she finished! The only thing she wanted to keep was her books & we set up her "classroom" in the corner because she got some new teaching supplies for her birthday:

I love to shop in person for anything & everything so that was the hardest part for me. After being gone for that long, we didn't have any fresh food at our house so I had to order online groceries for the very first time. I know, I am probably the only one in Texas who has never ordered groceries online!

It really was a super productive time off! The biggest disappointment was that the girls had to go back to virtual school, again. They both had to quarantine for 10 days before they were allowed to go back & since yesterday was a holiday, today was officially the first day they both got to go back! They were so excited to see their friends again & to finally get out of this house! As much as we loved having some extra family time at home, I think we were all ready to get back to normal. But I will miss our lazy mornings, movie nights & home cooked meals without being in a hurry:

The only good news is that we all got it at the same time, so hopefully we all have the antibodies for a while. Today is actually day 20 for me & unfortunately I still have lingering side effects. I still have tightness in my chest occasionally, I cough a lot & get easily winded, mostly when I over exert myself. But I am thankful to have not gotten any worse & that the rest of my family remained healthy.
