I'll start this week's post with this adorable picture:
Sophie finally lost one of her top teeth! She lost the 2 in the middle on the bottom, so this was her 3rd tooth to lose & it has not gotten any easier. That tooth was literally hanging by a single root for about a week & we went through lots of tears before it came out. It was literally turning brown & the gum around it was swollen. I was worried it was going to get infected & then it literally fell out as she was walking up the stairs to go to bed. Sweet girl!
We are ending July by wrapping up our summer activities. The girls only have 2 more tennis lessons before school starts & Sadie finished softball. She really enjoyed playing this season with her friends from school:
I can't believe it will be August this weekend! School starts soon & we are not ready. I mean we are, but we aren't. School supplies were delivered & we are gearing up for fall sports, but it is still hot & we are in summer mode. Along with soccer, which both of them will be playing, Sadie will also be playing volleyball & Sophie will be cheering again although this year she will be a Tiger:
Besides birthday parades, we haven't really been to a birthday party in months, until last weekend! Sadie's bestie had a surprise scavenger hunt around the neighborhood & it ended at our house so the girls could swim:
That was definitely a highlight for her!
Then Sophie got invited to a party the next day. One of her friends from school has a grandmother that owns acreage farther North, about 30 minutes from our house. She was able to invite 4 friends over to swim, cookout & feed the horses. Can you tell she was over the moon?!
I thought she would be scared of the horses but not at all! She walked right up with her carrot & helped feed them:
And check out her adorable cake:
It almost felt like a normal weekend! Thank goodness we have been able to enjoy summer outside.
