We had a surprise for Memorial Day weekend because a few of our cousins from Colorado were visiting. They came over on Friday & the girls had so much fun just getting to play with them:
Sadie was mostly outside playing, Braxton was working on our puzzles inside & Sophie was apparently running a beauty salon upstairs. She was doing everyone's make up:
Look at that purple blush?! We ordered pizza & had a movie night:
Then most of the kids had a sleepover in the media room. Surprisingly they all slept really good in there, I think because it gets so dark! They all got up the next morning ready to hit the pool:
Grammy & Grandpa were troopers & swam with them while Bryan & I entertained. We did take turns with them on the trampoline though:
We took a lot of pictures on the trampoline. It used to be the grotto but now they always want pictures jumping:
We are already using the trampoline way more than the swingset. The kids just ran back & forth from the pool to the trampoline & it's fun watching them. The only time we took a break was to eat:
We grilled an American classic - hamburgers & hot dogs for the holiday. I even tried a new dessert & it was DELICIOUS!
The picture doesn't do it justice but I made a fried ice cream & we all loved it! I even had a few people ask for the recipe. That's how you know it's a keeper!
Thank goodness we had beautiful weather while they were here because the next 2 days were not so great. In fact, I think it was literally the coldest & wettest Memorial Day on record so I have no pictures to share because we were mostly cooped up inside. But at least we had 2 wonderful days with our Colorado cousins!
