Life Lately

Is it really Memorial Day?! I honestly can't believe we have been e-learning at home for 2 1/2 months now & the girls only have 3 days of school left! Even though they have been doing school from home, let's face it, we are already in summer mode:

We officially got out all of our floats this week & the girls are loving them already!

We have still been exploring Frisco & the different trails around town. Our last hike/bike ride was at Limestone Quarry:

We went & visited Bryan's grandmother & his parents over Mother's Day weekend. We enjoyed sitting in the backyard seeing everyone. We took a group picture but somehow I didn't get a copy of it, but I did get a copy of Sadie & Lincee:

The girls have been begging for a dog lately & I am trying to hold out.

We have still been baking quite a bit & experimenting with new gluten free recipes. We have actually added in a little dairy back in to Sadie's diet & she has handled it pretty well so we got to bake milk chocolate chip cookies:

I was surprised to find that our old favorite Nestle Toll House chips are gluten free!

We have also had fun ordering different types of gluten free goodies online. Some things we love & some we barely eat. You never know what you are going to get:

The girls & I actually got to get out of the house this week for a dentist appointment. Sadie had a loose tooth on top & she was worried it would hurt at the dentist so she just pulled it out instead:

In case you are wondering, the tooth fairy must not be quarantined because she still came to visit!

Finally, soccer is slowly ramping back up. Sadie met a few girls last week to run one of their weekly miles together:

This week they have started having outdoor practice again in lieu of zoom calls:

Her coach did a great job of keeping the size small & placing cones so they stayed spread out. Can you tell they were just a little excited to be out on the soccer field again?!

I feel like we are slowly getting back to normal, our new normal anyways and with only 3 more days of school left, we are ready for summer!
