Aulani, Day 3 & 4

On Thursday morning, we switched things up. Instead of heading down to the beach or the pool, we dropped the girls off at Aunty's Beach House, aka the kid's club, for an event we had signed them up for:

I wish I could have taken pictures inside just to show how neat it was! On this day, they spent the afternoon with Moana playing games. First up, they made paddles & looks like they had some sort of relay with a coconut:

Next up they played some sort of game which was like rock, paper & scissors but they had a different name for it:

I was not there for any of these pictures but that's an extra bonus of Disney! They had a blast spending the afternoon with Moana:

While they were doing that, I was hanging out with Bryan on the golf course:

Usually I hang out with the girls while he golfs but since we had free childcare, I got to ride along on the golf cart. It was a beautiful course & we had perfect weather so I really enjoyed getting to tag along:

They even had a signature hole with Mickey in front of Aulani:

After golf, we picked up the girls & they wanted to swim. Even in the rain!

Luckily it was nice most of the day but it rained that afternoon & evening so our plans for the outdoor movie on the lawn didn't happen :(

The next day, the girls were back at the kid's club:

This time they went to an event called Fish are Friends. Apparently they started in the classroom, learned all about fish & then headed outdoors to the rainbow reef to see real fish:

You can't really tell from the pictures, but the girls were extra excited today because some of our friends from home joined them! Bryan & I knew that our friends would be in Hawaii for vacation & they just happened to be at the same resort, but the girls hadn't seen them yet. Again, I was not there so these pictures are courtesy of Disney but look at these adorable pictures of the girls:

Thankfully they really are besties these days!

While they were learning about fish, Bryan & I snuck off to the spa. He booked a couples massage to surprise me for my birthday but since we had extra time, we got there early to relax. I spent my time reading in the jacuzzi:

After our massage, we spent some time in the garden & then we headed up to the rooftop pool:

We enjoyed a few wonderful hours together before we got the dreaded phone call from Aunty's. The girls were ready to be picked up. We should have known - it was beautiful outside & the girls were itching to go swimming with their friends:

It really was a fun surprise for all of us! We spent the afternoon visiting while all of the kids ran around together:

When we went in to shower for the evening, we found a surprise in our room:

Of course the girls loved that! Then we continued our date from earlier by dropping the girls off at the kid's club again. We asked the girls if we could have 1 night for dinner while they stayed & played:

It was by far my favorite meal of the trip! They even surprised me & brought me a birthday dessert:

Ok, I know I have blogged a lot about Hawaii, but if you are still reading, I have only have a few more days to get through!
