Aulani, Day 5

Saturday was our busy day. We didn't originally plan it this way, it just kind of happened organically but we had a blast! We started with a character breakfast:

When we got there we saw Mickey Mouse right away! It was a buffet so we got to take our turns getting food, eating & visiting with all of the characters when they walked by:

They even brought me a birthday cake & sang to me:

I had a surprise for the girls later that afternoon so Bryan snuck off to the golf course again. While he was gone, the girls wanted to do the scavenger hunt around the resort property:

They give you an orange iPad which has an interactive game on it with clues. Once you figure out the clue & go to the right spot, you can make things happen which was really pretty cool. It would make the volcano erupt or the waterfall turn on:

Of course they ran into some friends along the way:

Finally it was time for their surprise. I had made appointments at the Painted Sky Hi Style Studio:

It was basically their version of the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. That was their before picture & here they are getting all dolled up:

I just had their hair & make up done since we had an event that night but don't they look beautiful?!

I did not have an appointment for myself but somehow they talked me into getting my hair done also:

So check it out - all of our hair looked so neat in braids!

Bryan had no idea I was getting mine done so he was surprised when he got home from golf! That evening we finally went to the girl's first luau:

We got there early so the girls had time to walk around & check out all of the activities:

Our friends went the same night so the girls had even more fun running around with them:

Sophie & Emma are in kindergarten together, along with Girl Scouts & they are on the same basketball team. Her sister is in 5th grade but still at our school so her & Sadie know each other.

While they were running around, we enjoyed the hula dancers, live music & drinks while they got our dinner set up:

The luau was awesome! Bryan & I enjoyed it, but I'll be honest, I feel like the girls would have enjoyed it more if their friends hadn't been there. I think they spent the whole night running around & playing, but at least they had fun! I took a lot of pictures myself but since it was dark, they didn't turn out as well, so I will share my Disney photo pictures instead:

Awesome, right?! And of course they got the best family picture of us also:

It was such a fun night! Of course we stayed around for a while afterwards visiting with our friends:

Just when we thought the night was over, the girls got asked to their friend's for a late over:

After everything we had done all day, this might have been their favorite thing. Can you tell how excited they were?! We went back to our room, got comfy & then headed down to their room for the movie:

Still to this today, if you ask them what their favorite part of our entire 12 day trip to Hawaii is, they will say getting to watch a movie with our friends!
