This past weekend was officially our kick off to fall & the busy weekends that come with it. It started Friday morning. The girls wanted to wear their Longhorn jerseys to school since we had a big game this weekend & when they walked outside, our neighbor across the street came out wearing hers also:
They looked pretty cute!
Their school celebrated Grandparent's Day by inviting them to lunch. My dad couldn't come because he had a football game, but everyone else came & the girls were pretty excited to see them:
That night Sadie had her first volleyball game:
I'll post a separate blog about that this week since it was her very first time :)
On Saturday we had to divide & conquer. My mom & Bryan went to Sadie's soccer game. Her academy team had their first game for the fall season. While they were there, I took Sophie to cheer pictures:
These are just the snap shots I took, so I'm sure they will look different when we get them since they used a green scene. After pictures we headed straight to their first football game:
It was so stinkin hot out there but they looked adorable! Again, I will post another blog this week because I took a lot of pictures!
From cheer, we headed straight to Sophie's soccer game & she changed in the car. No surprise, I took a lot of pictures. Again! This is typical - I get excited & take lots of pictures & videos the first time & then I sit back & relax the rest of the season. This game definitely deserves it's own post but I'll give you a sneak peak of the Twinkle Toes here:
While we were at her game, Sadie had fun seeing some of her friends:
It's such a small little Frisco world & we literally saw at least 5 families who had younger siblings playing soccer at the same time so all of the older siblings had fun playing together.
4 events later & we were home by 1:15, Bryan showered & then we were in the car by 1:30. I don't know how the stars aligned, but my mom was in town for the weekend & all of our games were over by lunchtime on Saturday so we headed to Austin for the game:
We played LSU & it was one of our biggest games of the season. Unfortunately, if you watched it, we lost, but it was still a good game. We had a couple of disappointing plays & our defense just couldn't stop them. But it was worth the trip because it was such a great game. Who knew both teams would score that much? We met up with some of Bryan's clients before the game:
but we sat by ourselves. We lucked out & got tickets at the last minute on the 50 yard line about 25 rows up. They were awesome seats!
And we even stayed until the very end. I always say we are not fair weather fans so we stay win or lose until we hear the Eyes of Texas:
It was a busy weekend & a HOT weekend (literally, the high was 103 on Saturday) but it sure was fun. I love keeping up with the girls & all of their activities. I feel like this post is pretty typical of what our weekends will look like for the next 2 months, but instead of going to all of the UT games, we will be watching most of them at home :)
