Life Lately

With only 1 month of summer left, we are trying our best to squeeze in a little fun besides swim team & camps. Sophie has had a few play dates lately & has loved seeing her friends from pre-school. First she got invited to Brinkley's house:

Her friend Abby also had a play date for her half birthday:

The girls loved getting together again! Remember, these 5 were together for the past 4 years at pre-school but they will all go their individual ways this fall.

Sadie invited a friend over to swim one afternoon:

They hadn't seen each other since school so they were so excited to play together again:

Sadie has also been busy with soccer. Unfortunately, her coach at the Texas Legends is not coaching their team anymore so back in June, we learned we would have to find a new team for her. So we have spent the past month trying out with new teams & I think we finally found one. She is really excited about her new coach & thankfully a few of her friends are joining the same team:

We go to the library often. The girls are reading a lot trying to log all of their minutes for the Mayor's Summer Reading Challenge:

Our friends sent us a picture when they were at the library because they saw our names on the reading wall so they put their names by ours:

Sadie has especially found a passion for reading this summer. I spent a lot of time at the library with her one afternoon & we found a bunch of series that she has been reading. I have been so proud of her growth over the summer!

Bryan & I enjoyed a fun night out one evening when we celebrated Julianne's birthday:

And I hate to admit it, but we are slowly getting ready for fall. We have a couple of trips coming up & then right after that, we literally start school. I can't believe it is sneaking up on us! My mom surprised the girls & ordered them new lunch boxes & backpacks:

Sophie chose hearts & it is glows in the dark! Sadie decided she didn't want any characters on her, so she chose a glitter ombre:

And she decided she wanted her initials this year instead of her name. We went ahead & cleaned our laundry room. Put up the old back packs & got out our new ones. I even cleaned their soccer bags & have everything ready for fall soccer. I know it sounds crazy we are already planning for fall & it's only mid July, but I am just making sure I am a step ahead before our summer adventure continues.
