After 6 years, we finally said good bye to Sonshine School/Academy. Sophie had her last day of school last week:
She technically graduated the week before, but they went last week & just had fun:
Lena & I were in charge of their party on the last day of school & the theme was See You Later Alligator! We got there early & surprised them with ice cream sundaes when they came in from recess:
We planned a few games, did a craft & just had fun letting the kids play together one last time:
We surprised Mrs. Johnson with a class gift:
Then we surprised the kids with shirts:
My friend made shirts for our older kids when they graduated so she made new ones for our younger kids also:
Obviously it is a little big, but hopefully we can take a picture of them every year until they graduate in this same shirt:
After we surprised them, they surprised us by reciting a poem/song about their school year:
It was adorable! They looked so cute performing for us. We truly left Sonshine on a high note because Mrs. Johnson was wonderful - literally one of my favorite teachers we had while we were there:
To end my final Sonshine post, I will quote the words to their school song:
"Sonshine Academy, It's the greatest place to be, Jesus is a friend to me at Sonshine Academy!"
