This past weekend Sadie's school held their annual fundraiser, the Spring Carnival & thankfully this year the weather cooperated! We had perfect weather all day. Sophie & I went to the school at 7:45 for Good Morning Pink & then we literally volunteered all day, until Sadie got out of school at 3:00. I baked a few things for the bake sale & we spent the morning setting that up & popping popcorn. Sophie was a great helper:
We popped over 400 bags! Then we stayed through lunch & did try day Friday, which happens once a month. While I was serving black eyed peas, she got to eat lunch & hang out with friends:
Then we spent the afternoon setting up for the carnival. I tried to take a few pictures of the decorations that afternoon while the cafeteria was empty:
Check out those baskets for the silent auction! That's just a few of the big ones.
While we were decorating & setting up, Sadie came to the cafeteria & surprised us. Her teacher knew we were helping out all day so she sent Sadie to pick up Sophie. She got to spend about 30 minutes in their classroom during independent reading time:
After school, they had fun taking pictures with some of the carnival signs out front:
Finally it was carnival time! As soon as we got there, Sadie ran into Hadley & they were inseparable  all night. They found the balloon blast first & had fun competing against each other:
Of course they hit up the sports arena:
They found the zorb balls:
And they hit up the rock climbing wall several times. Sadie loved this! And she was one of the few who could get to the top pretty quickly every time:
Sophie found Kate & then they ran around most of the night together also:
They found Snow later on when we stopped to eat:
So excited these 3 will start kindergarten together next year! Sadie saw several friends throughout the evening:
We had fun buying snacks at the bake sale & bidding on the silent auction. Sadie really wanted to be librarian for the day so the last couple of minutes she really stood her post & protected her bid sheet:
It was a super fun evening & I'm glad the weather cooperated after last year. Hard to believe we will be celebrating at the carnival next year with both of girls as students:
