Spring Break in Conroe 2019

The second part of spring break, the girls & I hit the road & headed home. We didn't have any plans & it was nice just to get away for a few days. My parents had to work on Friday so I met up with one of my sweet girlfriends from high school:

We met at a park & our kids played for hours while we visited. It was perfect. I mean the weather was awesome, it was great being outside & I am so glad we had the time to catch up while the kids played:

On Saturday, my mom had the day off so we spent the day with her. We took the girls shopping at Justice & while we were there, they were having a fashion show. They let the girls pick out anything in the store to wear & then they introduced them while they walked the cat walk. Sadie fell in love with the denim overalls that had flip sequins on them:

Poor Sophie got in trouble & she was so upset about getting in trouble that she cried & couldn't hold it together during the fashion show :( Otherwise she would have loved it:

Eventually, I got her to calm down & she took a picture with Sadie:

Afterwards, Mimi took them to get their nails done while she got a pedicure. The girls wanted green for St. Patrick's Day:

While we were there, we celebrated my birthday. They took me out to eat & bought birthday cupcakes:

They were delicious but not as good as these spring cookies:

My dad picked these up at the grocery store & they were YUMMY! I kept making the girls split a cookie since they were big, but really so I could have more for myself! Ha ha!! They also gave me a birthday gift, not that you really want to see pictures of me with my gift but the girls always think it is fun to take pictures with my phone these days:

It was a long lazy weekend at my parent's house & a nice get away from our normal routine at home. Plus, we got to see their new house which was exciting!

On our way home, we made a pit stop at Bucee's. It's only 45 minutes from my parent's house so not really worth stopping at plus it's only a 3 hour trip home so I would prefer to not stop, but the girls are obsessed with that place & we can't drive by it without stopping:

It was a fun spring break and now we are officially ready for spring! If only the weather would cooperate :)
