Spring Break in Frisco 2019

Has spring break really come & gone?! We had ours last week so today it's back to school. Bryan was out of the country the first part of spring break so I was by myself with the girls. Of course it was cold & wet so we had 2 soccer games cancelled again. Yes, again. Sadie hasn't even had a game with the Sweet Cleats yet.

The girls started the week with camp. I gave them several options for a day camp & they wanted to try something new: cooking camp!

The girls were so excited because they got to go together. We dropped them off for a few hours & when I picked them up, we got to see what they made:

Looks like they made a spring chicken soup, home made bread, home made butter, bacon wrapped asparagus & blueberry cobbler:

I tried to take a picture of what was left on Sophie's plate. Sadie ate most of hers but as you can see, Sophie only ate the bread. No surprise there. Apparently they had an awesome time & have already asked if they can go back again:

On Tuesday, it was still wet & cold outside so I made hair cuts for the girls. They hadn't had them since school started so they were quite excited. Sadie is still trying to grow hers out so she just got a trim:

Sweet Sophie wants to be just like her sister so she asked to have hers cut like Sadie's. I was hesitant she would change her mind but she somehow she convinced us to let her cut 3-4 inches off:

They both looked so cute! And were so excited when we went to Target afterwards because we bumped into a few friends & they were showing off their new haircuts:

That night we surprised them & took them to the Texas Legends basketball game:

On Wednesday, the girls went to the mall with me to have lunch & shop:

but our fun outing got interrupted with soccer practice. It had rained so much lately, that I assumed practice would be cancelled. But I guess the sun came out while we were in the mall & her coach decided to practice any way. Wish I would have gotten a picture of that because the girls were covered in mud!

Other than that, we slept in every day, stayed up late most nights & tried a few new places around town. When Bryan got back in town, we tried a new restaurant & then we went to one of the places on my bucket list - the Dough Dough:

Ice cream cookie dough sundae? Yes, please! It tasted as good as it looked :)

The next morning the girls & I woke up & headed to Conroe. Bryan had a basketball tournament he had to go to all weekend for work so the girls & I decided to hit the road for a quick getaway. My parents recently moved into a new house so we were excited to go check it out. I'll share pictures from our trip to Conroe later this week.
