My girlfriends & I are officially on the countdown until our kids graduate from pre-school & it's a little bit exciting & sad at the same time. I am kind of excited to have them at the same school & on the same schedule but at the same time, I don't know what I will do when my little one goes to school full time. So, we have been making plans for a few final outings with our little ones before they start kindergarten. The weather was perfect last week so we decided to make a last minute trip to the zoo:
Sophie & 2 of her besties - KJ & Gavin. Sweet girl is always with the boys:
It took us about 30 minutes just to park so I was a little nervous because it was more crowded than I have ever seen it, but it wasn't that bad inside the park. I mean it was crowded, but all you do is walk around & look at the animals so it wasn't like we were standing in lines. Sophie had so much fun running around, looking at animals & playing every chance she got:
We even lucked out & saw most of the animals! Sometimes they are hiding or napping, but they all seemed to be out since it was beautiful weather. But what cracks me up are all the pictures we took of animals painted on the tunnel wall - for some reason the kids loved them & kept asking us to take pictures of them:
We packed a picnic & ate lunch at the zoo but our last surprise of the day was dessert. The boys chose cotton candy but Sophie wanted dippin dots:
And then that was it. I wish we could have stayed later but we had to head back to Frisco & pick up the older kids from school. Can't wait for our next outing!
