The Perfect Birthday

My birthday was actually this past Monday & it was epic! If you have read my blog for a while, then you probably know that I love Michael Buble. I have seen him 4 times in Dallas, Houston, Las Vegas & The Bahamas. But he hasn't toured in a while since his son was sick. Until he announced his new tour a few months ago & who would have known that he would be stopping in Dallas on my birthday?! Of course my sweet husband bought us tickets so I have been excited for months! I told him not to buy me anything because the tickets were more than enough :) But you know Bryan, he always has a surprise up his sleeve. He booked a hotel downtown so we could escape for the night. I mean literally it was the best 24 hours! It was a beautiful day so the view from our room was perfect:

We got ready for our night out & I surprised Bryan & wore my glitzy heels he bought me for Vegas:

I don't have a chance to wear these around Frisco very often :)

We hitched a ride to dinner:

He knows I love Italian! Our friends Nat & James met us for dinner & we celebrated both of our birthdays because hers was a few days later:

Since it was such an awesome evening we walked to the American Airlines Center for the concert:

Our seats were phenomenal! Bryan really did a good job!!!

And before we knew it, there he was:

I might have gone a little crazy & took way too many pictures. I couldn't help it - we were so close & I was so excited!!!

To be honest, this tour is to support his latest album that came out before the holidays & it's not my favorite, so the set list wasn't my favorite of all of the tours I have seen. But I still love him. He is so funny, charming, entertaining - I mean even my husband likes him:

So to see him on my birthday was perfect. But to hold his hand on my birthday made it even more epic:

Yep, seriously, that happened & I have the proof! It was during his encore, 2nd song, when he sang "Everything" which happens to be one of my favorites. It is one of his older songs & one of the first songs that made me fall in love with him. Anyway, I will always remember that song now because when he walked by we held hands:

Can you see it?! Bryan said that we shook hands but I like to think of him holding my hand :) Either way, I am so glad Bryan caught a picture of this perfect moment! I actually caught it on video but it looks like the Blair Witch Project because I am singing, dancing & shaking the camera all around. I may have even screamed when it happened! What can I say?! It was an awesome evening!

Afterwards, Bryan convinced me to jump on an electric scooter to ride back to our hotel:

Neither of us have ridden one before & we had fun! Although it's a little tricky balancing in 4 inch heels:

We took videos of each other riding them so we could show the girls & they may have been a little jealous :)

The next morning we slept in & then went to brunch at Breadwinners:

This happens to be one of my favorite places! In fact, we had my bridal brunch there almost 15 years ago & we sat in the same courtyard. Just as good now as it was back then. Finally, we went shopping at North Park mall, which is some of the best shopping in the Dallas area. I had some birthday morning & had fun spending it. And then it was back to reality because we had to be home by 2:00 to pick up Sophie. But it was an amazing 24 hour get away even though we were just down the street. Thank you Bryan for such a perfect birthday. It really will be hard to top this!
