Our family has soccer to play! One month into our soccer season & Sadie finally got to play her first game! We had beautiful weather Friday night so both of the girls had practice, then Saturday morning we were lazy around the house & it was beautiful outside. Of course right when it was time to get ready for soccer, it started pouring. Luckily it rained for an hour or so but by the time we made it out to the field, it stopped. So Sophie's game got to play but it was a mess out there! We all had ponchos, rain boots, umbrellas, etc:
A little bit of rain or mud didn't slow down the Twinkle Toes because they won 16-2! And Sophie scored 5 goals!!!!!
I try not to brag on my girls too much, but seriously, last year they didn't win a single game, in the fall or the spring & they barely scored any goals the entire year so this is a huge improvement. I really don't know what clicked over the summer but something did for all of them! So proud of those Twinkle Toes!
These 2 were good cheerleaders but they were dying to get out there & play since they hadn't yet:
Then the rain moved out, it cleared up & we headed to lunch but go figure as we are driving to Sadie's game, it started raining again. Luckily, it stopped after we got there & cleared up again so they finally got to play their first game. It was so good. Their team has been together for 4 years & it is really fun watching them now that they actually play positions, spread out & pass the ball. They won their first game 7-4 & Sadie scored 4 goals:
While she was playing, Sophie was goofing off with Crosby & they found a dead frog:
Yucky Sophie!
Thankfully, Sunday was a beautiful day & Sadie had one of her games rescheduled. So now she has officially had 2 games & they are undefeated. Her American Girl had a game on Sunday also & came to cheer Sadie on:
It's such a small little Frisco world when you go out to the soccer fields. We saw friends all weekend long coming & going between games:
Let's just hope the rain holds off & we can have a few more weekends to play soccer this fall. So proud of my little Sweet Cleat & Twinkle Toe!
