Super Star Students

Thursday afternoon Sophie came home all excited from school because she received a special award at school:

She got to go to the office to get the Super Student Award! Last year it took her a long time to earn one so we were really proud of her for earning one so early in the school year :) To be honest, she is excited about the award, but she is mostly excited about the free kids meal coupon to Chick Fil A that came with it!

On Friday, we went to Good Morning Pink because Sadie received the Super Star Student Award:

This was her first time to win this award. The Assistant Principal picked 2 students to receive it & it could be from any grade in the school so it was a huge honor. She was nominated for her swimming competition this summer:

We knew she was getting this award because the AP told us 2 weeks ago but the day before the pep rally, Sadie's teacher picked her to be one of the 1st grade cheer leaders for their class cheer & she was so excited:

Some of the older grades have had class cheer leaders but they never got to do to it in kindergarten until this year. They chose 2 boys & 2 girls and you could tell they looked a little nervous:

But they did awesome & for the first time, their school has a new spirit stick & 1st grade won! Literally, they were the first grade to receive it:

The cheer leaders got to receive the spirit stick when they won & their entire class took a picture with it. Such a fun morning! And you know who else had fun?!

These girls. Future kindergarteners right here! They are going to rule the school by the time they get there & I don't know if that's a good thing or not?!
