In case you haven't heard, we had a wet & rainy weekend. Again. But this time was the worst. It literally rained for 24 hours straight & we got almost 10 inches of rain. So of course soccer was cancelled. Again. Three weekends in a row. Since soccer practice was cancelled Friday night, we got a babysitter & went out while the girls stayed up late playing at home. When we got home, I found them having a slumber party in Sophie's room:
Thankfully everyone slept in on Saturday morning since we didn't have anywhere to be. Someone offered us tickets to the circus that morning so it was a great contingency plan since we didn't have anything else to do:
The girls loved it although they said it wasn't as good as The Greatest Showman!
Later that afternoon we got invited to an ice skating birthday party. The girls had talked about it all day & were so excited, but all that rain must have made Sophie sleepy because she passed out on the way:
Then she woke up in a bad mood. She was cold, tired & hungry & not in the mood to ice skate:
But Eva offered her some ice cream & that cheered her up:
Sadie had fun ice skating but it is still challenging. She has been before but it was definitely like starting over again:
Of course everyone's favorite part was the cookie cake:

Afterwards it was still raining so we enjoyed a night at home eating pizza & watching college football. That's the one good thing about the rain!
Thankfully the rain had stopped by Sunday but it was still cloudy & dreary outside. We went to lunch with friends after church & we had to keep our eyes on these two because they like to get in trouble together:
It was a fun weekend after all but we are really starting to get tired of all this rain. I don't know how it is beautiful all week & then rainy all weekend. We love college football but we are ready to watch these little girls play some soccer too!
